Today, Daniel and I dedicated Vivian to the Lord with our church body along with several other families that were dedicating their children. This is something we both are so excited about because we have tasted a piece of getting to lay down our lives to disciple others, but there is something incredibly special and sacred about getting to lay our lives down to disciple our own child.

We may have mentioned this before, but thought I would again since this is what we shared with our church family. We named our daughter “Vivian Joy” because we felt like God was highlighting 2 scriptures over her life. The first is John 10:10b where Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” Vivian means “alive” and we believe this promise that she will have life to the full! Her middle name is Joy because we felt like God was highlighting Psalm 16:11, “You make known to me the path of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” We believe she will live her life in the fullness of joy in God’s presence.

I have a few pictures I wanted to share and hopefully a video – although Daniel will have to do that (because I am not quite sure how to!). Also, we didn’t have a lot of pictures where Vivian was facing forward – she’s quite the wiggler!
